SSC CGL Admit Card 2016

SSC Admit cards will be available on Official Regional websites from last week of April and can be downloaded using your Registration No. There is No provision to get Admit cards by post, as SSC had discontinued postal admit cards from this year

Expected Date: The most expected Date for Downloading of Admit Cards / Hall Tickets for CGL 2016 is from Last week of July (At least, Two weeks before the Exam Date)

SSC CGL 2016 Admit cards


Staff Selection Commission had already announced the Notification for CGL 2016 Exam. The online Registrations were scheduled to close on 24th March, 2016, but SSC had given as extension of One week for submitting the online application, and now the closing date to apply online is 30th March, 2016 . As per the Official SSC Calendar 2016 and CGL Notification, the exam is tentatively scheduled in May 2016 (on 8th and 22nd May). Now postponed to August, 2016  and those have successfully applied for the exam, can appear at their respective venues. 

It is important to note that to appear for SSC CGL 2016 Exam, you must have the Admit Card along with ID Proof. Your admit card has your Roll No. and this gives you a unique Identity with respect to your candidature in the CGL Exam.

It is only with the help of these two documents (Admit card & ID Proof) , that you can make your way into the Examination hall. 

It is worth mentioning here that Process for receiving the Admit cards for CGL 2016 are completely online now. From this year, SSC had discontinued the service of sending the Admit cards by Post. So, the only, way to get the Admit cards for CGL 2016, is to download it online from the respective regional SSC websites. There is No other modes/means of receiving the SSC CGL Admit card.

In this post, we will share the Details like Dates for Downloading the CGL 2016 Admit Card, How to download It and what to do, in case, face difficulties in downloading the CGL Admit card

Before, you proceed to download the Admit card, here are a few important things, you should know.


What is SSC CGL Admit Card ?

SSC Admit card, is a document, that contains your Roll No, Venue, Time & Date of Exam. It is with the help of this admit card, you will be allowed to enter in the Examination hall and write the exam.

The Admit Card will be given only to those, who successfully submit their online applications for SSC CGL Exam 2016. In case you have submitted multiple applications, then only the Last successfully submitted application, will be considered.

It is worth mentioning here that SSC CGL 2016 Admit Card, must be retained till the Final Result is declared, as it contains, your Roll No, that might be needed in the later stages of Examination. 


When the Admit Cards can be downloaded ?

Next thing, you would like to know is from when the admit cards can be downloaded OR the Date for downloading the CGL 2016 admit card.

As per the CGL Notification, the admit cards, will be placed on the regional websites at least 2 weeks prior to exam date. As the CGL 2016 Exam is scheduled on 8th May and 22nd May, 2016, in August, 2016 so we expect that admit cards, will be available from Last week of July 2016.

The Expected date for downloading the admit cards is from 22nd July, 2016.

Once the Link for downloading the admit cards, is placed on the Regional websites, we will update this page with the Direct link for downloading the admit cards.


How to Download SSC CGL Admit 2016 ?


SSC CGL Admit card is must have document, if you are willing to appear in the SSC CGL Exam 2016. 

But before you go on to read the process for downloading the SSC CGL Admit Card 2016, you must know the time line for downloading the Admit cards

You can download the SSC CGL Admit card, only after following the below mentioned Time Table.

1) You can download the SSC CGL Admit Card, only after, you didn't receive the Admit card at your correspondence address. The Commission will send the Admit Cards at your respective addresses at least 2 weeks before the exam Date.

In case, you didn't get the Admit Cards, them you have to download the duplicate Admit Cards 


Note:From this year SSC had discontinued its service for sending the Admit cards by post. Now the only way is to to Download the E-Admit Cards.

2) You must note that  Admit cards, will be available online at least  one week, before the exam date. The Admit cards, available through online mode, are in duplicate form only.

As, the CGL Exam is scheduled in the month of August , 2016, therefore, you can download the CGL Admit Cards from the Last week of April, 2016. To Download the Admit Cards, applicants are advised to Read our previous post on How to Download SSC CGL 2016 Admit Cards

3) In, case, you cannot download the admit cards, you should contact the SSC Regional Office and obtain the Admit Card after showing your Application No/ Reference No. , SBI Challan etc.

Process for Downloading the SSC CGL Admit Card 2016


1) Log on to the Regional SSC Official Website

Here is the complete List of Regional Websites of SSC. Here you are find your State and then open the respective regional websites

2) On the Homepage, click on the "Download Admit card" Link. Then it will open the Page for Downloading Duplicate Admit Cards

3) Thereafter, select the appropriate link, that contains the Link for Downloading the CGL Admit card 




4) You can Download the admit cards, by entering your Details Like Registration No. and Date of Birth and click on the "Submit" Button.

Forget Registration No. ? In case, you forget your registration No, then kindly check your email, as SSC had sent the registration No. at your email address, at the time of submitting the application form.

5) After that, you can download your Admit Card and appear in the SSC CGL Examination, at the mentioned Date, Time and Venue.


Identity Verification


Applicants can appear  for Examination, at the specified time and venue as mentioned in their Admit Cards. To appear for the Exam, applicants must carry their Identity Proof in Original. The ID Proof can be Aadhar Pan Card, Driving Licence, Voter Card, Aadhar card, School/College ID Card etc.

Applicants must note that, they will not be allowed to enter the Examination hall after 9:30 am (for Morning session) and 1:30 Pm (for Evening session), as SSC had made some strict rules regarding the cut off time for their entry in the examination hall.

Update-1

SSC had postponed the CGL Exam to August, 2016 and the exact dates are yet to be announced. Meanwhile, admit cards can downloaded only after the announcement of exam date, but most likely the admit cards will be available anytime after 2nd week of July

In, the meantime, applicants, must go through the CGL Syllabus and these Books for CGL Tier 1 exam. and don't forget to check the SSC CGL Cut Tier-1 off for previous years

Current Status: As the CGL 2016 exam is tentatively scheduled, in the month of August, 2016. So the Question Paper can be downloaded only after the Exam.

SSC is going to conduct the CGL 2016 Tier-1 Examination in the month of  August 2016. Although these are only tentative Dates and picture will become more clear, when SSC CGL 2016 Notification will be released. But, even before the release of Official CGL 2016 Notification, you will get to know about the Tentative CGL 2016 Exam Dates, one the SSC 2016 Examination Calendar will be released.

Earlier the CGL Exam was scheduled to be held on 8th and 22nd May, 2016, which was later postponed and now the exam is schedule for August, 2016.

SSC CGL goes Online from 2016


From 2015, SSC CGL Exam will be online. that means, you have to appear for Exam at a Computerized center and instead of Pen and Paper, you have answer the Questions on the computer screen.

As the CGL Exam goes online in 2015, so candidates cannot take with them the CGL 2015 Question Paper, that was earlier possible with pen paper mode. 

That doesn't mean, you will not get the CGL 2015 Questions. you will definitely get to know the Questions asked in the exam, but these questions, will be based on Memory. of the candidates who have appeared in the exam.

Getting the full SSC CGL 2016 Question Paper is not possible. However, we will make every effort so, that you will get to know the maximum no. of Questions asked in the CGL 2016 Exam.




When will you get the Question Paper ?


CGL 2016 Exam is tentatively scheduled in the month of August, 2016. (Exact dates yet to be announced). There will be 4 sessions in total (2 for each Day) viz Morning and Evening sessions.

After every session on the Day of Exam,we will be share the Questions on this page. and Once all the 4 sessions are over, we will share with you the PDF that contains Questions from all the 4 sessions of CGL 2016 Exam.

In this way, you will get the CGL 2016 Question paper and start your preparation for CGL 2017 Exam.

As the CGL 2017 Exam is tentatively scheduled in July / August 2017, you have ample time to cover the Complete SSC CGL 2016 Syllabus and prepare for  the exam.
