The Notification regarding the recruitment of Clerks in SBI was released on 4th April, 2016 and the Online Registration have already started. SBI Clerk 2016 Notification : 17000 vacancies

State Bank of India, invites online applications from the eligible Indian citizens for the below mentioned posts in Clerical cadre.

No. of vacancies : 17140 posts
  • Junior Associates : 10140 posts
  • Junior Agriculture Associates: 3008 posts
  • Jr. Associates (Backlog): 3218 posts
  • Jr. Associates (Special Recruitment: 188 posts
Note: Applicants must note that the vacancies as Special Recruitment will be for Kashmir Valley, Ladakh and Meghalaya (Tura) Region only.

Pay-Scale: Appointee in the SBI Clerical cadre, will get salary as Rs 20,000 Per month (Approx). The exact amount will vary and depend upon the city of posting.

What is the Eligibility Criteria ?

Applicants willing to apply for Jr. Associates and Jr. Agriculture Associates in SBI must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions
1) Nationality : Applicant, must be an Indian Citizen only
2) Age Limit: The minimum required age is 20 years, while the maximum age should not exceed, 28 years. The cut off date for determining the age limit is 1st April, 2016.
3) Educational Qualifications: Applicant, should be a Graduate,  for Jr. Associate post and Must be Graduate in Agriculture for Jr. Agriculture Associates
4) Local Language Proficiency : As, these are clerical level posts, therefore applicants can apply for One State Only. Applicants, must also be proficient in the Local / Official Language of State. Those who have passed the Local Language as Subject in Matric need not under go the Language test, others have to prove their efficiency through the test.
Selection Process: The Selection process for the Recruitment of Jr. Associates in SBI, comprises of Prelims (Screening test) and Mains Exam, followed by Interview (If approved by GOI).
